  1. Did you know they had two mounds but 3 pitchers warming up? Showing off your math skills Huh Tim? 😉

  2. Riverfront was the greatest of all stadiums

  3. The 1990 Reds beat, back to back, Barry Roids and Mark McCheat’s teams

  4. My Jessica was born 2 months before this, Iraq was sitting in Kuwait and I had just left the Middle East as a military contractor. Krazee stuff, but my Reds got it done!!!

  5. Love how both teams were wearing the pullovers. Last playoff series to feature those kinds of uniforms from both teams

  6. Jim Leyland…ahead of his time by using Ted Power as the "opener".

  7. After this Barry Bonds began eating right and lifting weights and nothing more.

  8. Growing up in Cincinnati the Reds and Pirates played many great games, and they met in the NLCS 5 times. Hopefully both teams can regain their form because the Reds and Pirates would be a great rivalry. God Bless everyone

  9. Amazing game. The crowd made historical noise!

  10. Psssht back in my day, these clowns wouldn’t have made it… see in my day we had guys like scooter gennett who hit 4 home runs in one game!! Then actually strained his groin the next year and retired. Then a year later had the gall to claim new age players are soft. Pssht these young cats, would never make it in 2023

  11. Obviously back before rampant use of PEDs. Everyone looks so anorexic!

  12. I miss the enclosed ‘cookie cutter’ stadiums. Riverfront, Three Rivers, Fulton County, Busch and the Vet made a ton of noise you just don’t get from today’s smaller opened stadiums.

  13. 2:36:43 Marge Schott lol…. i’m surprised she allowed that MC Hammer song to play

  14. The Pirates we're really good during this era. Barry Bonds,Bobby Bonilla,Doug Drabek,Andy Van slyke…etc. The Refs we're an electrifying team that caught lightning in a bottle that 1990 season. I love that Reds team. CBS baseball broadcasts were so so good and that music will always take me back to those days

  15. Wow I must have forgot or overlooked that Bragg catch in the 9th inning. That was definitely a home run and would of gave the pirates the lead and who knows what would of happened. WOW, what a forgotten play.

  16. It's a shame this league ruined this sport. This was the only league where you actually earned a playoff spot by winning. In all the other sports all you had to do was finish at .500 and you're in essentially. In baseball you had to win your division.

  17. Who was the Pirates' best hitter? … Bobby Bonilla? … Andy Van Slyke? … Barry Bonds? … No … Carmelo Martinez … guy almost singlehandedly forced a Game 7.

  18. The pirates went ahead in the 9th inning 3 – 2 but the outfielder made a great play but just think if it would have gone to game 7

  19. It was such a simpler time then!

  20. Pat O'Brien was one underrated sportscaster in my estimation.

  21. Back when B. Bonds was skin, bones, and a mustache.

  22. Back when the Pirates could make the playoffs. I miss those days.

  23. Credit to Myers here. He knew the job was not done yet and celebrated accordingly.

  24. Well yall good this year de la cruz is the truth

  25. those were better logos and unis back then. The current alternate jerseys they wear now are trash

  26. 2:36:00 – How funny is it that the clubhouse anthem was by MC Hammer – an Oakland guy?

  27. I feel so bad…Where are the reds today?

  28. Jim Leyland using a reliever as starter in a playoff game way before it became a trend 30 years later

  29. As a Reds fan , i could hear Jack Buck being all fo Pittsburgh in this series .
But he did root for the Reds in the WS .

  30. wow I would love to see this game with a pitch clock and replay
