If it's 1715 and we have a kukri as our boot knife, then we've probably been to Nepal, as the kukri wasn't widely known in the West until the Gurkha War in 1814.
Also, FUN FACT: Dracula, in the Bram Stoker novel of the same name, was actually dispatched by a kukri to the throat and a Bowie knife to the heart, and not a wooden stake.
