Finally some good news. Severino DFA'd. We didn't add offense. We downgraded our closer, but at least we got Severino back from suspension. What a waste of roster space for 1 month.
Enough with the bargain basement shopping. McGee as been cut twice. Has an ERA near 7. Why are we auditioning him in a 4-2 game ??
Then we go and spend 4.5 Million on Rosenthal. I thought we were done with Cardinal reject pitches?

The Brewers are not playing like a 1st place team right now. They REALLY need to get their act together, and fast: the Cardinals are not going just roll over and accept a Wildcard spot.
Most promising part of this pirates team is the young hitters. Down 4 runs has been a death sentence the past few seasons.

Great game! I don't understand how a division leader trades away their closer at the deadline. Baffling!
Missing Hader?
Every time I see Cruz hit a HR I think 'how close to .500 would we be if he been called in May or just been on the main roster the whole season?' Dude is a difference maker and he injects his team mates with passion, you can see it. If he comes up in May, I think we'd be like 48, 50 wins. If he had been up the whole season, I'd say we'd be .500 or better.
I thought this game was gonna get really ugly with runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out for the Brewers in a 4-0 game in the 2nd.
Needless to say, I was wrong. Very, very wrong. And sometimes it's good to be wrong.
