The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Cincinnati Reds 13-12 at Great American Ball Park on September 23, 2023. The Bucs trailed 9-0 after three innings, but Bryan Reynolds launched a 3-run homer in the 6th to bring the Bucs within 3, and a 3-run, bases-clearing double from Alfonso Rivas tied the game in the 7th. Jack Suwinski put the Bucs in front with an RBI single in the 8th, and Carmen Mlodzinski picked up his first career save in what amounted to the largest comeback ever for the Pirates.

This is a team on the rise for sure. We just need to improve our starting pitching rotation, then a winning season and playoffs will follow. This is the most exciting Pirates team that I have seen since our last time making the playoffs.
