Use this pirate island game to help your younger players improve awareness and dribbling with the ball. when coaching u6 u7 u8 it should always be about fun, and this game encourages football skills, along with competitiveness and all round fun.
Set up a square or rectangle (size depends on how many payers you have), then set up one less island than players (example: 6 players = 5 islands). Make the islands just big enough for the player to stand comfortably inside.
Progress from having the players just running around, to them dribbling the ball to help develop their ball control.
