As someone who loves pirate games, I decided to do an analysis of the best pirate board game available.
I go through a lot of pirate games that are above average (for the most part), and then I give a final top 10 list of my ultimate pirate-y good favorites.

Somehow, I love the pirate genre (I too loved Sid Meier’s Pirates!, every version), but I don’t own a single pirate-themed boardgame. Oddly enough, I have little interest in Star Wars (we do have Rebellion though) but the Outer Rim sounds most interesting to me!
That was much more than I thought you would review in a single sitting. Definitely was a welcome to hear many different takes on pirate theme games. Yeah there are definitely some pirates you have to lookout for before having over your cash. Thanks for the review and thoughts.
I just picked up Merchant's & Marauders from Value Village for $15, which included the expansion. Never played it before, but couldn't pass up the deal.
