Anyone here ever played "pirates of the Caribbean" from 2003? Had nothing to do with the movie. Disney paid the company developing "Sea Dogs 2" to call it pirates of the Caribbean. The mods are amazing.
5:30 holy critical research failure, Batman! that explains why this game is not in the top 3; hell, i can easily see it as #3 since Monkey Island and Black Flag would technically be better. but DKC2 is a grey area of a choice that only gets higher because 90s kids who grew up with Rare during it's golden years; and the other one looks like a laggy mess.
We really need some new pirate-themed videogames, developing teams left this genre almost untouched

The Bethesda Pirates Of The Caribbean (no connexion to the films) is one of the best pirate games out there, deserves a mention. Also, Corsairs, Age Of Pirates 2. And another one for space pirates would be Rogue Galaxy, come on mates.

fun fact about skies of arcadia: the characters Vys, Aika and Nina all appeared as easter eggs in Valkyria Chronicles. Vyse being a shocktrooper, Aika being a scout and Nina being the ever so helpful MEDIC!!!

You should've included 'Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat.' That game was great and it had everything they could fit into a pirate fantasy game at the time. Sea battles, land battles, boss battles, treasure hunting, taking over fortresses, a series of different islands, you can get a better ship at each set of islands, you engage in actual acts of piracy, and the main character is a sexy pirate girl with an arsenal of weapons bigger than Link's, who can sense buried treasure.

There is one game called Pirates of the burning sea it's really nice friendly pirate game where you can play as 4 nations (pirates ,Britain ,Spain and France) it has good PvP even Port Battles where you can figh with other players to take control of a Port

My favorite pirate game is called The pirate Caribbean Hunt it s really good it good gives you missions like escorting ships bring passengers to one port to another get paid get captrain skill's each time you level go into open world and find shipwrecks with gold and get blueprints for the ship you found board ships get treasure maps and a crap more stuff and it is on the amazon appstore and others plus it is free
