It seems very cool! But it does seem to be a newer/better Sid Meier's Pirates in many ways.

I mean it doesn't look bad but I do think SoT looks better as idk if this is in the game or not but I don't like hoe you don't get the 1st person pov on the boat as you have in SoT

You say yourself it's a turn based strat game. Its not the best pirate game unless you love strat games and it's in no way a comparison to sea of thieves. Therefore it's not the best pirate game. I swear that publishers just look at the popularity numbers on Pirates as a genre and then guess what style of game we want. Skull and Bones will be terrible and it's nothing like what the community wants. The community wants a Pirate fps game that's realistic and made by Rockstar with the ability to do whatever they want within a massive open world. There's a massive influx of games like this that are basically mobile games designed to sell for a higher price for PC and console. Just another glorified mobile game I won't take seriously

Assassin's Creed Blackflag will always be the best RPG pirate experience. Really loved Port Royale 3 too.

That's the same shit as basically every pirate game developed so far outside of Monkey Island, potc, sot and AC Black Flag. I don't feel the "pirate experience" at all with these kind of games.

Cutthroats: Terror on the high sea's!!!! Beat Sid's Pirates hands down. Was much more of a RTS, with land based pirate invasions… Tortuga being the starting town and the easiest to plunder and raise to the ground…
I was really hoping this game was going to be a updated Cutthroats, but alas its just a turn base strategy….

Sea of Thieves is definitely the current pirate lord of games, the old Pirates! Nintendo game is my favorite. It was rudimentary and clunky but gave off a vibe similar to Tortuga, which looks very interesting! Good stuff and great video. Liked and subbed. @InterceptorTx

I’ve watched videos of this game and they put me to sleep. This has got to be one of the most boring and repetitive games I’ve seen on the PS5 since its release.

A game that required a bit of advanced thinking, and a whole lot of patience.
What am I missing, it has horrible turn based combat, where ships have to move x tiles, and shoot, turn around each other, repeat forever until one sinks? A pirate game which punishes you for trying a perfect deadly stern rake (obviously developers had no idea about ship combat)
