Unboxing Oak And Iron by Firelock Games – Miniature Pirate Battles on the Tabletop

In this video, I unbox the naval miniatures game Oak & Iron. This tabletop game by Firelock Games pits 1/600th scale model ships against each other in high seas battles.

Here, I unbox the core starter set for this game, build the ships and review the contents.

The ships inside you can use for any of the playable factions. In this video, I look at the quality of the components in this starter box. I even have a scale comparison to give you a feeling for the size of these miniatures.

Firelock Games describes the game as follows…

Oak & Iron is a 1/600th scale naval game set in the age of piracy, imperial expansion, and above all, fighting sail. It allows players to recreate battles between small fleets and squadrons of armed sailing ships. The game is designed to be simple and intuitive while also challenging players by providing significant tactical depth, being true to the theme and tactics of the period, and supplying significant flavor for the various factions represented in the game.

I would like to send out a thank you to Firelock Games for sending me this copy of Oak & Iron for review. As an FYI, this box set comes with 1/600th scale, easy build, model ships of a sloop, brigantine, light frigate, fluyt, corvette, and a galleon. Other ships are available too, but this video focuses on only what is in the Oak & Iron Starter Set.
