  3. my game is super simple (porting a DS lite game to 3DS, PSVita, and even a PS5) so I will use DRM mainly, but although this is a free game, I want to add as much security into it as possible, just because (LOL)

edit: security on a free game is stupid, and region locking + capacity checking + hardware checking seems excessive and annoying for me, the developer or voices adventure.

I might not even publish it and I am thinking about porting it and adding security!

that's just how easy unity is to make things with…

  4. As a student living in a third world country
Asking for 60$ to buy a game is probably gonna get me hanged

  5. I played wolfenstein 2009, dishonored 1, crysis 1&2, and some other games, pirated at first, and I loved all of them. So later, I bought them because I wanted to legit have them. I think making a good and perhaps replayable game, is the best way for people to buy the games.

  6. EA needs to see this video so they will stop selling fucking $60 to $90 (php 2000 to php6000) unfinished buggy games.

  7. Ahem,
Piracy has grown more not because it's better but because IT IS EASIER THAN BUYING A GAME AND REGISTERING IT ONLINE

  8. I download the pirated version bc i can't afford the originals xd

  9. Just don’t source your games from the alley

  10. But, you know, a good game would mean the devs would have to work on the game itself and not just the microtransactions, so piracy will never stop.

  11. It's like when radiohead gave that record away for free and asked for donations. I gave them five bucks. cuz it was good, and they worked hard on it. And i'm not a sociopath.

  12. Ok you started out with explaining what earthbound did to check for piracy, but then just nothing

  13. "There is no good way to stop piracy without hurting customers"

Then there is no good way to stop piracy. Full stop. If hurting customers is what you have to resort to in order to stop piracy, then maybe stop trying to stop piracy.

  14. İ private games cuz our ecenomy sucks only game i buyed is dark souls 3 cuz it was so cheap

  15. The only issue I have with this is that we don't own games anymore. We have licenses to play games that can be revoked because the dev got his feelings hurt on Twitter or because someone on the Internet didn't use the developer's preferred pronoun or because they want to sell the game for a higher price.

  16. I have a general rule, Don't Pirate indie games the rest is fair game.

  19. Honestly I hate people who pirate… But daily income in many countries are low… With no regional pricing… So it sucks
Infact there are some people are not who would literally always pirate even if they are well off coz of "why buy if it's free mentality" and also they don't know those additional benefits they would get if they originally purchased

PIRACY EXISTS BECAUSE POOR COUNTRIES EXIST SO STFU AND LET US PIRATE THE GAME OR FIX THE WHOLE GOVERMENT STSTEM WHICH YOU CANT

  24. acualy pirates = free adveretising form my experiance.

  25. I tried Conan exiles last year. I found a cracked version and after playing it for a few months i ended up buying it along with all the DLCs. In fact, i still play it almost 4 times a week. If i had not downloaded the game i would not have bought it. Generally, the games i download are ones i plan to buy if i like them or ones i have owned in the past and cant find legitimate copies of. I liked the game battle for middle earth 2 and downloaded a cracked version because i could not find a legitimate version on a site like steam. I think game developers should get together with sites like steam and simply upload all the content they created. Even old games from Atari, Intellivision, Colecovision and the like would probably make great sales doing this. I could see myself spending a few dollars to get Millipede, spaced invaders or microsurgeon.

  26. It would be great if bethesda would figure out a way to make it so that they could connect all elder scrolls games together

  30. The Game Dev Tycoon one was mind blowing and hell of a creative method

  31. i don't even remember the last time I paid for and actual copy of a game

  32. if i ever make an actual game i really want to use anti piracy as either a type of game mechanic or as a way to play an alternate version of the game

  33. I Download many game free and if it was a good game, i buy it! If not, i delet it. Today are no demos aviable for game anymore, so why i should buy it if its a crap game on the end?

  34. YT showed this on the 'watch more' section of a vid about how to bypass EasyAntiCheat.
Why was I going to that video? BECAUSE PALADINS ON LINUX GIVES SHIT ABOUT IT. HOLY FUCK NORMAL GAMERS ARE THE VICTIM OF SHIT LIKE THIS MORE THAN PIRATES/CHEATERS!!

  35. DAMNIT IF WE JUST CRACK DOWN JUST A LITTLE HARDER WILL END PIRACY FOR GOOD THIS TIME!

  36. 1_ don't make the game redcilousy expensive
2_ make the games free for the countries which are don't have good economic and people don't have money to buy
    3_ remove micro transaction
4_ make a good game with no problems
5_ and don't be like rockstar and Take 2 or EA

  37. I always find that attitudes like the flying wild hog team spokesperson go a lonh way in making me actually want to buy a legit copy of shadow warrior 2. 44. Why don't game developers just remove the DRM once their game has been cracked
